This recipe originally appeared in a story in the Herald Leader, however the story is no longer available.

If you have been to Malone’s or Drake’s, you have seen this drink on their menu. It’s a fun and easy cocktail to make, but you will need to hunt down a few pucker products to make it.

Pixie Stick Martini recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 ounce DeKuyper Island Punch Pucker (formerly Island Blue Pucker)
  • 3/4 ounce DeKuyper Grape Pucker
  • 3/4 ounce vodka
  • Splash of sour mix
  • Splash of 7-Up
  • Orange slice, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until well-chilled.
  3. Strain into a martini glass.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice.

Enjoy!

Tips:

  • You can use any flavor of vodka you like.
  • If you can’t find DeKuyper Island Punch Pucker, you can substitute another blue raspberry liqueur.
  • If you don’t have sour mix, you can make your own by combining equal parts lemon juice and simple syrup.
  • You can also add a splash of Sprite or club soda to the martini for a lighter drink.

Variation:

For a more colorful martini, you can rim the glass with pixie stix dust. To do this, dip the rim of the glass in water, then in a shallow dish of pixie stix dust.

Cheers!
